Application by Jackson Co. Road Department to replace pipe culverts with a box culvert and install a bridge on McClelland Road

Jackson County Road Department has filed notice of a proposed project which requires review by the MS Department of Marine Resources to ensure compliance with the state’s approved Coastal Program under the Coastal Zone Management Act.

The applicant is proposing to implement roadway and drainage improvements by replacing four pipe culverts with a double-cell box culvert and installing a bridge 61 feet in length and 20 feet in width at an unnamed stream on McClelland Road, 1.08 miles west of Tucker Road in Jackson County, MS. View the full application at the link(s) below. The applicant originally planned to impact more wetlands and streams but has removed some of the impacts from the proposed project. The application linked below is the original proposal and includes impacts that are no longer being proposed.
