Application by Jackson County Road Department to replace culverts and maintenance stream near Highway 609 near Gulf Hills, Ocean Springs, Jackson Co

Jackson County Road Department has filed notice of a proposed project which requires review by the MS Department of Marine Resources to ensure compliance with the state’s approved Coastal Program under the Coastal Zone Management Act.

The applicant is proposing to improve drainage by replacing existing culverts with larger culverts and removing built up sediment and debris from a stream running from Highway 609 beneath Pine Road and Ridge Road to the golf green at Gulf Hills in Ocean Springs, Jackson County, MS. Any person wishing to make comments or objections to the proposed activity must submit those comments in writing to Alyssa Timbs by mail at the Department of Marine Resources at 1141 Bayview Avenue, Biloxi, Mississippi 39530, by email at alyssa.timbs@dmr.ms.gov, or by using the form below before 1:00 p.m. on the day July 20, 2026.
