Application by MS Department of Transportation to fill non-tidal wetlands for the construction of a road from Poole St to north of Interstate 10 in Gulfport

The MS Department of Transportation has filed notice of a proposed project which requires review by the MS Department of Marine Resources to ensure compliance with the state’s approved Coastal Program under the Coastal Zone Management Act.

The applicant is proposing to permanently fill 87.35 acres and temporarily fill 11.03 acres of non-tidal wetlands for the construction of a road that will extend from Poole Street to North of Interstate 10 and a bridge over Interstate 10.
