Application by National Marine Fisheries Service to implement the Commerical Electronic Reporting Amendment for some Gulf of Mexico fisheries

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has filed notice of a proposed project which requires review by the MS Department of Marine Resources to ensure compliance with the state’s approved Coastal Program under the Coastal Zone Management Act.

The applicant is proposing to implement the Commercial Electronic Reporting Amendment for the Gulf of Mexico Region. The amendment would require commercially permitted vessels to submit electronic fishing forms approved by the NMFS Southeast Fisheries Science Center Research Director. Specifically, this amendment would affect the Coastal Migratory Pelagic Fishery and Reef Fish Resources of the Gulf of Mexico. View the full application at the link(s) below.
