Application by Roddy Vanacor for after-the-fact approval of fill of non-tidal wetlands and a manmade canal and for installation of a culvert and piers

Mr. Roddy Vanacor has filed notice of a proposed project which requires review by the MS Department of Marine Resources to ensure compliance with the state’s approved Coastal Program under the Coastal Zone Management Act.

The applicant is proposing after-the-fact approval for fill of 0.1 acre of non-tidal wetlands and fill in a portion of an unnamed manmade canal that is 58 feet in length and 36 feet in width. He is also requesting to place a culvert within the fill in the canal to restore water flow, potentially remove a portion of the existing fill in non-tidal wetlands, and to construct piers. The project is located adjacent to Etna Road, Bay St. Louis, Hancock County, MS. View the full application at the link(s) below.
