The City of Bay St. Louis has filed notice of a proposed project which requires review by the MS Department of Marine Resources to ensure compliance with the state’s approved Coastal Program under the Coastal Zone Management Act.
The applicant is proposing to implement improvements to the stormwater drainage system within the city. The applicant proposes to remove debris and accumulated sandy sediment from approximately 5,518 linear feet of drainage ditches, remove nuisance vegetation from approximately 2,500 linear feet of ditches, install approximately 3,367 square yards of rip rap within high energy segments of drainage ditches which are subject to erosion, and replace approximately 95 linear feet of box culverts under public roads.
