Application by the US Army Corps of Engineers to install water transmission mains in Ocean Springs, Jackson Co

The United States Army Corps of Engineers has filed notice of a proposed project which requires review by the MS Department of Marine Resources to ensure compliance with the state’s approved Coastal Program under the Coastal Zone Management Act.

The applicant is proposing to install approximately 5 miles of 12-inch water transmission main with appurtenances, which will cross tidal marshes in Davis Bayou and Simmons Bayou on Hanshaw Road and Point Aux Chenes Road, respectively, in Ocean Springs, Jackson County, MS.
