Application by US Army Corps of Engineers for beach and dune improvements in Harrison Co

The United States Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District has filed notice of a proposed project which requires review by the MS Department of Marine Resources to ensure compliance with the state’s approved Coastal Program under the Coastal Zone Management Act.

The applicant is proposing to add roughly 2 million cubic yards of sandy material to construct beach and dune improvements along the existing mainland coastline in Harrison County, MS. The approximate 29-mile project shoreline is located between Biloxi and Pass Christian and seaward of the existing seawall. View the full application at the link(s) below.
