Boat Hits Bay St. Louis Bridge; Under Investigation

BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (MDMR) received a call on Oct. 19, 2012, at 2:08 p.m., reporting that a 21 foot boat hit a piling on the Bay St. Louis Bridge. One person was aboard the vessel and was rescued by good Samaritans and taken to Washington Street pier. The victim requested to be transported to Ochsner hospital in New Orleans with unknown injuries.

 

The MDMR’s Marine Patrol is investigating the accident.
