CMR certifies four state records

BILOXI, Miss. – The state Commission on Marine Resources certified four all tackle state fishing records at today’s monthly meeting.

 

Abigail Daniels, 13, of Pass Christian set a state record using a cast net for Highfin Goby (Gabinoellus oceanicus) with a fish weighing 0.78 ounces.

 

Harley J. Harvard of Lucedale set three state records using a spear for African Pompano (Alectis ciliaris) with a fish weighing 37 pounds, 1.44 ounces, Ocean Triggerfish (Canthidermis sufflamen) with a fish weighing 5 pounds, 9.6 ounces and Spanish Hogfish (Bodianus rufus) with a fish weighing 1 pound, 14.08 ounces.
