BILOXI, Miss. – The commercial fishing season for Gray Triggerfish (Balistes capriscus) will close at 12:01 a.m. local time on Saturday, Nov. 18, in Mississippi territorial waters.
The commercial harvest will reopen at 12:01 a.m. Monday, Jan. 1, 2018.
According to the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council, the 2017 quota is 60,900 pounds. Commercial fishermen will reach that quota on Nov. 18.
