BILOXI, Miss. – Keith Davis will continue in his role as Chief of Marine Patrol for the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources, Director Joe Spraggins said Friday.
Spraggins’ comments came after the city of Moss Point announced that Davis would not be taking over as police chief.
“Chief Davis and Moss Point were not able to come to an agreement,” Spraggins said. “He will remain the chief of Marine Patrol for this agency.”
The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources is dedicated to enhancing, protecting and conserving marine interests of the state by managing all marine life, public trust wetlands, adjacent uplands and waterfront areas to provide for the optimal commercial, recreational, educational and economic uses of these resources consistent with environmental concerns and social changes.
