LEGAL NOTICE – Order Reopening Conditionally Approved and Approved Waters to the Harvest of Oysters

In accordance with the Mississippi Administrative Code Title 22, Part 1 and the “Order by the Director of the Mississippi Department of  Marine Resources Reopening the 2024 – 2025 Mississippi Oyster Season in certain waters classified as approved and conditionally approved, and placing certain restrictions on oyster harvesting and handling activities,” the MDMR hereby orders that the following areas will reopen to the harvest of oysters at legal sunrise, Monday, January 27, 2025.

Conditionally Approved Area I “B” – Including St. Josephs or St. Joe reefs

Conditionally Approved Area II “A” – Including Pass Christian Reef and Henderson Point reefs

Pass Christian State-Owned Reef excluding the Tonging Box is closed for harvest.

Conditionally Approved Area II “B” – Including the Waveland and St. Stanislaus reefs

Conditional Approved Area II “E” – Including Henderson Point reefs

Henderson Point State-Owned Reef is closed for harvest.

Conditional Approved Area II “F” – Including Pass Dredging reefs

Pass Christian State-Owned Reefs is closed for harvest

Conditional Approved Area II “G” – Including Pass Marianne reefs

Pass Marianne State-Owned Reef is closed for harvest.

Approved Area II “H” – Including Telegraph reefs

Approved Area II “I” – Including Pelican reef

Pass Marianne State-Owned Reef is closed for harvest.

All other current rules and regulations will remain in effect.
