BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Commission on Marine Resources (MCMR) certified two Mississippi recreational saltwater conventional tackle records during its May 21 meeting.
David Floyd of Pascagoula broke the state record for Spotted Seatrout with a 10-pound, 10-ounce fish on April 8, 2013.
Mark Alan Ros Jr. of Ocean Springs broke the state record for Atlantic Spadefish with an 8-pound, 3.2-ounce fish on April 19, 2013.
The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources is dedicated to enhancing, protecting and conserving marine interests of the state by managing all marine life, public trust wetlands, adjacent uplands and waterfront areas to provide for the optimal commercial, recreational, educational and economic uses of these resources consistent with environmental concerns and social changes.
