BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Commission on Marine Resources (MCMR) has called a special meeting to be held Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013 at 6:30 p.m., in the auditorium of the Bolton State Building at 1141 Bayview Avenue in Biloxi, to discuss the search process to be used in selecting a new executive director for the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources. The public is invited to attend and will be given the opportunity to provide comment on the process and suggest characteristics to be considered when reviewing applicants.
Members of the public wishing to comment or ask questions will be asked to sign a roster upon arrival to the meeting and limit comment periods to five minutes per person to allow ample time for all wishing to participate.
The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources is dedicated to enhancing, protecting and conserving marine interests of the state by managing all marine life, public trust wetlands, adjacent uplands and waterfront areas to provide for the optimal commercial, recreational, educational and economic uses of these resources consistent with environmental concerns and social changes.
