BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources certified three state saltwater fishing records using conventional tackle for the month of November.
Nicholas Lewelling of Moss Point set the record for Rock Hind (Epinephelus adscensionis) with a fish weighing 4 pounds, 4.8 ounces.
Youth conventional tackle records were certified for James Williams, 14, of Biloxi for Gulf Hake (Urophycis cirrata) with a fish weighing 6 pounds and Cresson Van Cleave, 11, of Biloxi for Silver Perch (Bairdiella chrysoura) with a fish weighing 3.52 ounces.
