Mississippi Commission on Marine Resources Removes Cap on Oyster Licenses Sold

BILOXI, Miss. –The Mississippi Commission on Marine Resources voted unanimously to remove the cap on the number of oyster licenses sold effective immediately. Oyster licenses are available for purchase beginning Nov. 20, 2012, at the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (MDMR), between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., located in Biloxi. The MDMR license office will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23 for Thanksgiving and will reopen on Nov. 26, 2012.
