BILOXI, Miss. – Recreational fishing season for gray triggerfish will close in Mississippi territorial waters on Monday, June 11, 2012, at 12:01 a.m. and remain closed through Jan. 1, 2013 at 12:01 a.m. This coincides with the closing of recreational gray triggerfish season in federal waters.
The closing of the recreational gray triggerfish season is issued under the authority of Section 49-15-15 (1) of the Mississippi Code of 1972.
The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources is dedicated to enhancing, protecting and conserving marine interests of the state by managing all marine life, public trust wetlands, adjacent uplands and waterfront areas to provide for the optimal commercial, recreational, educational and economic uses of these resources consistent with environmental concerns and social changes.
