Public Hearing for City of Ocean Springs East Beach Pedestrian Pathway

The City of Ocean Springs has filed notice of a proposed project which is being reviewed by the MS Department of Marine Resources (MDMR) to ensure compliance with the Coastal Wetlands Protection Act. The applicant is proposing to construct a 5,730-foot by 10-foot concrete pedestrian walkway along East Beach Drive, starting near Weeks Bayou and extending to Halstead Road, on Davis Bayou, Ocean Springs, Jackson County, MS.  Project details can be found at https://dmr.ms.gov/permitting or can be provided by mail if requested at 228-523-4106.

The MDMR will conduct a public hearing regarding this permit application on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the Public Meeting Room of the Bolton State Building at 1141 Bayview Avenue in Biloxi, Mississippi. This hearing will provide the opportunity for the community to submit comments concerning the proposed project. It is not a question-and-answer session. Any person wishing to make comments on the proposed activity may attend and submit comments orally or in writing.
