BILOXI, Miss. – Mississippi’s private recreational Red Snapper season closed on September 8, 2019 and currently remains closed. While Mississippi’s private recreational Red Snapper season is closed it is unlawful for any private recreational anglers to harvest, possess or transport Red Snapper in or through Mississippi territorial waters, which extend 9 miles south of the barrier islands.
