ORDER CLOSING THE 2019-2020 SHRIMP SEASON NORTH OF THE INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY IN MISSISSIPPI TERRITORIAL WATERS
By virtue of the authority vested in the Mississippi Commission on Marine Resources under the provisions of §49-15-15 (1) (a) Mississippi Code of 1972 Annotated, the Mississippi Commission on Marine Resources does hereby declare and order that:
All waters north of the Intracoastal Waterway in Mississippi territorial waters are hereby declared closed at 12:01 a.m., January 1, 2020 for shrimping as provided by law and the regulations of this Commission.
All other Mississippi territorial waters remain open to shrimping as provided by law and the regulations of this Commission.
All rules set forth in regulations of the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources are to be in full force and effect and all boats engaged in catching or transporting shrimp in or from the waters of the State of Mississippi must be licensed by the Commission before beginning operations.
This order will take effect and be in force from and after 12:01 a.m., January 1, 2020.
