MDMR certifies fish records for November

BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources certified two state fishing records using conventional tackle for the month of November.

 

Stefanson Smith of New Orleans set the record for Florida Pompano (Trachinotus carolinus) with a fish weighing 5 pounds, 0.64 ounces. Cecily O’Brien of Pascagoula set the record for Irish Pompano (Diapterus auratus) with a fish weighing 5.9 ounces.
