MDMR certifies two youth state records

BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources certified two youth division state fishing records in September.

 

Rodie Armes of Pass Christian set the record using conventional tackle for Redfin Needlefish (Strongylura notata) with a fish weighing 2.9 ounces. Armes also set the fly fishing record for Hardhead Catfish (Ariopsis felis) with a fish weighing 1 pound, 3.5 ounces.
