MDMR to Hold Public Hearing Oct. 12, 2011, on Proposed Trip Ticket Program

BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (MDMR) will hold a public hearing Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011 at 6 p.m. in the Bolton State Office Building, 1141 Bayview Avenue, Biloxi, Miss., to solicit public comments on the Notice of Intent to update, modify and change Title 22, Part 9 Rules and Regulations for Statistical Reporting and Confidentiality of Statistical Data for Marine Fisheries in the State of Mississippi. Proposed changes are to adopt a Trip Ticket program for all components of the Mississippi seafood industry and to introduce language to establish a Fresh Product Permit.
