CMR certifies state fish record for Scamp

BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Commission on Marine Resources on Tuesday certified a state record for Scamp (Mycteroperca phenax).

 

Joey Antoon of Pascagoula set the record with a 28-pound, 4.32-ounce fish he caught on June 11. The previous record was 26 pounds, 15 ounces and was set in November of 2012.
