Under Mississippi law, information contained in the agency’s database is considered public records and may be released in response to a public records request.

Your privacy is very important to us and it is the MDMR’s policy to collect no personal information about you via the MDMR website, unless you affirmatively choose to make such information available to us.  When you visit any of our sites, the Web server automatically recognizes only the Internet domain and IP address from which you accessed the site.  This information does not result in the identification of your personal e-mail or other personal information.  In addition, information is only gathered regarding the volume and timing of access to the site by collecting information on the date, time and pages you visited while at the site.  This is done so that the content of the site can be improved, and your personal information is not identified.

WEB ACCESSIBILITY

OUR COMMITMENT

We are committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. Our goal is to provide an online experience that is easy to use, inclusive, and aligned with widely recognized accessibility standards.

ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS

We strive to meet the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and design our website with the needs of all users in mind. These guidelines help us ensure that content is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust across a variety of devices and assistive technologies.

ONGOING IMPROVEMENTS

Accessibility is not a one-time effort. As technology and user needs evolve, so does our approach. Because accessibility remediation is an ongoing process, we will continue making improvements as needed. We routinely review our digital content, conduct testing, and make updates to address issues as they arise.

OUR ACCESSIBILITY PRACTICES

To support an accessible experience, we work to:

  • Provide clear structure and headings throughout the site
  • Use descriptive text for links and images
  • Support keyboard navigation
  • Maintain sufficient color contrast
  • Offer content that is readable and logically organized
  • Test pages with assistive technologies when possible

LEGACY DOCUMENTS

Certain PDFs and other downloadable documents available on this website were created prior to key ADA compliance deadlines. As a result, some of these legacy files may not fully conform to current accessibility standards. If you require an accessible version of a specific document, please contact us, and we will provide an accessible alternative upon request in a timely manner.

FEEDBACK AND SUPPORT

We welcome feedback from our users. If you encounter an accessibility issue or have difficulty using any part of our website, please let us know. Your input helps us prioritize improvements and better serve all visitors.

THIRD-PARTY CONTENT

While we strive to ensure accessibility across our entire site, some pages may contain content or features provided by third-party vendors. We cannot control the accessibility of these external elements but encourage partners to follow best practices.
