CMR certifies three state fishing records

BILOXI, Miss. – The state Commission on Marine Resources on Tuesday certified three state fishing records.

 

Christopher Barlow of Vancleave set the record for Gulf Flounder (Paralichthys albigutta) with a fish weighing 1 pound, 2.4 ounces using conventional tackle.

 

In the new youth division, the following records were set using conventional tackle.

 

Margaret Elaine Schindler, 8, of Diamondhead set a record for Silver Perch (Bairdiella chrysoura) with a fish weighing 2.8 ounces.

 

Myles Fallo, 11, of Pascagoula set a record for Slippery Wrasse (Halichoeres bivittatus) with a fish weighing 6.88 ounces.
