MCMR Certifies Four State Saltwater Fishing Records

BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Commission on Marine Resources (MCMR) certified two Mississippi recreational saltwater conventional tackle records and two recreational saltwater fly fishing tackle records during its Nov. 19 meeting.

 

Cecily O’Brien of Pascagoula broke the state conventional record for Gray Triggerfish with an 11-pound, 3.96-ounce fish on Oct. 12, 2013.

 

Hyler Krebs of Pascagoula broke the state conventional record for Spotfin Hogfish with a 12.64-ounce fish on Oct. 9, 2013.

 

Reed Guice of Biloxi broke the state fly fishing record for Dolphin with a 9-pound, 7.88-ounce fish on Oct. 16, 2013.

 

Doug Borries of Ocean Springs broke the state fly fishing record for Red Snapper with a 26-pound, 9-ounce fish on Oct. 13, 2013.
