MDMR certifies two state records

BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources certified two state fishing records this month.

 

Riley Armes, 10, of Pass Christian set the youth record for Ladyfish (Elops saurus) using conventional tackle with a fish weighing 2 pounds, 9.6 ounces.

 

James Landers of Pascagoula set a new record for Vermilion Snapper (Rhomboplites aurorubens) using conventional tackle was with a fish weighing 5 pounds, 3.2 ounces.
