MS Coastal Cleanup set for Sat., Oct. 18

BILOXI, Miss. – The 26th Annual Mississippi Coastal Cleanup will be held from 8-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18. Nearly 2,000 volunteers have registered for the cleanup, and they will be working at 47 sites in Jackson, Harrison and Hancock counties.

 

Volunteers will be given a ticket for lunch when they arrive for the clean-up Saturday morning. Lunch will be served in each county from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The lunch in Jackson County will be held at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Gautier and will be provided by The Shed; the Harrison County lunch will be held at Barksdale Pavilion in Jones Park in Gulfport and will be provided by RPM Pizza. Volunteers in Hancock County will be treated to lunch at the Washington Street pavilion by Congressman Steven Palazzo.
