New Flounder bag limit goes into effect July 20

BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources reminds recreational fishermen of the new Flounder bag limit change from 15 per person to 10 per person which goes into effect Friday, July 20.

The Mississippi Commission on Marine Resources voted unanimously at its monthly meeting Tuesday, June 19, to approve decreasing the bag limit of Flounder to 10.

The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources is dedicated to enhancing, protecting and conserving marine interests of the state by managing all marine life, public trust wetlands, adjacent uplands and waterfront areas to provide for the optimal commercial, recreational, educational and economic uses of these resources consistent with environmental concerns and social changes.
