In accordance with the Mississippi Administrative Code Title 22, Part I and the “Order by the Director of the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources Reopening the 2024 – 2025 Mississippi Oyster Season in certain waters classified as approved and conditionally approved, and placing certain restrictions on oyster harvesting and handling activities,” the MDMR has the authority to establish and adjust the commercial sack limits for harvesting oysters for the 2024 – 2025 Mississippi Oyster Season.
Now, therefore, the MDMR does hereby order that:
Beginning at legal sunrise, Wednesday, April 23, 2025, the commercial daily tonging vessel sack limit shall be fifteen (15) sacks per licensed vessel; and the commercial daily dredging sack limit shall be thirty (30) sacks per licensed vessel.
All other current rules and regulations will remain in effect.
