BILOXI, Miss. – The city of Pass Christian will officially open its harbor with a ceremony at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, at the pavilion in the harbor.
Speakers include Gov. Phil Bryant, Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann and Mayor Chipper McDermott. Also present will be representatives from the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources and from the offices of Sen. Thad Cochran, Sen. Roger Wicker and Congressman Steven Palazzo.
The public is invited to attend.
The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources is dedicated to enhancing, protecting and conserving marine interests of the state by managing all marine life, public trust wetlands, adjacent uplands and waterfront areas to provide for the optimal commercial, recreational, educational and economic uses of these resources consistent with environmental concerns and social changes.
