Recreational, commercial harvests set to open, close

BILOXI, Miss. – Officials with the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources announced today the openings and closings of recreational and commercial harvest in Mississippi territorial waters for Gag, Greater Amberjack and Gray Triggerfish. 

 

The recreational fishing season for Gag (Mycteroperca microlepis) will open on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at 12:01 a.m. local time.

 

The recreational fishing season for Greater Amberjack (Seriola dumerili) will close on June 1, 2021 at 12:01 a.m.

 

The recreational harvest for Gray Triggerfish (Balistes capriscus) will close at 12:01 a.m. on June 1, 2021.

 

The commercial harvest for Greater Amberjack (Seriola dumerili) will open on June 1, 2021, at 12:01 a.m.

 

The commercial harvest for Gray Triggerfish (Balistes capriscus) will close at 12:01 a.m. on June 1, 2021.
