Registration open for 26th Annual MS Coastal Cleanup

BILOXI, Miss. – Volunteer registration for the 26th Annual Mississippi Coastal Cleanup is now open. Groups, families and individuals are invited to volunteer to clean up more than 50 sites along the Coast.

 

Online registration will be open through Oct. 15, and this year’s event will be held from 8-11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18.

 

Mississippi Coastal Cleanup is the state’s largest cleanup effort and includes sites in Harrison, Hancock and Jackson counties, as well as the barrier islands. Volunteers will be provided with trash bags and gloves.

 

Last year, nearly 1,300 volunteers cleaned up 50 areas along the Coast during the 25th anniversary of the event. They picked up 956 bags of trash.
