CMR certifies two state records

BILOXI, Miss. – The state Commission on Marine Resources on Tuesday certified two state fishing records.

 

Tucker House of Saucier set the record for Bonnethead (Sphyrna tiburo) with a shark weighing 15 pounds, 2.4 ounces using conventional tackle.

 

Sean Cook of D’Iberville set the record for Red Lionfish (Pterois volitans) with a fish weighing 1 pound, 13.44 ounces using a spear.
