BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources will hold its inaugural conference, “State of Our Coast: Moving Forward Together,” from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015.
Speakers include MDMR Executive Director Jamie Miller, Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann and LSU professor Rex Caffey, Ph.D.
Participants also will hear updates on red snapper season and the Governor’s Oyster Council.
The conference will be held at the Golden Nugget Casino, 151 Beach Blvd., Biloxi

The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources is dedicated to enhancing, protecting and conserving marine interests of the state by managing all marine life, public trust wetlands, adjacent uplands and waterfront areas to provide for the optimal commercial, recreational, educational and economic uses of these resources consistent with environmental concerns and social changes.
